Introduction

Timedoor Academy has proudly launched a free educational initiative dedicated to the children of the “Rumah Impian” orphanage. As part of our commitment to fostering skill development in underserved communities, we are offering comprehensive coding classes at no cost. Additionally, to facilitate this learning, we are providing them with computers. This endeavor aims to equip these children with valuable digital skills, paving the way for broader job opportunities in their future.

Background

Children in orphanages don’t have parents and live a limited simple life. They often face limited money and opportunities. Upon completing their high schooling, they might encounter challenges in securing rewarding employment due to a lack of specialized skills, knowledge, and educational background.

Message from CEO

Our CEO, Yutaka, emphasizes the significance of coding in today’s world. He mentions, “Coding is everywhere in your game, mobile app, etc. it’s a tool for innovation and creativity.” Yutaka envisions these children not just as users of digital platforms but as creators, shaping their own destinies. He believes this skill will help them get better jobs in the future.

What We Teach

Children and teenagers, ranging from 6 to 19 years, are all welcome in our program. We have tailored coding lessons suitable for each age bracket. The younger ones might begin with foundational coding concepts through engaging game activities, while the older participants delve into more advanced tasks like text coding game development. The enthusiasm and rapid progress of these students have been truly inspiring.

What’s Next?

Our dedication to this cause doesn’t end with a few lessons. We intend to consistently teach and mentor these children on a weekly basis. By instilling coding knowledge now, we are optimistic about expanding their future employment prospects.

Through this initiative, Timedoor Academy aims to empower these children, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to navigate the digital future ahead.

The Importance of Soft Skills for Elementary School Kids
The Importance of Soft Skills for Elementary School Kids
In today’s digital era, academic intelligence is no longer the only key to success. Soft skills are increasingly recognized as essential in building confidence, shaping character, and preparing children for global challenges. Among the many valuable soft skills to develop early on, one stands out as especially impactful: Skill Public Speaking. As parents, we naturally want our children to grow into confident individuals who can express themselves clearly. Public speaking is not just about standing on a stage and speaking to an audience. It is about communicating ideas with clarity, conviction, and confidence. This ability becomes a strong foundation for children in both their academic and social lives. Why Soft Skills Matter for Elementary School Kids During the elementary school years, children are at a stage of rapid cognitive and emotional development. They are learning to understand themselves, relate to others, and form habits that will carry into adulthood. Soft skills such as communication, empathy, leadership, and teamwork help children adapt more effectively to various situations. Among these, Skill Public Speaking plays a crucial role. The ability to speak clearly and confidently can help children in school presentations, competitions, and even everyday interactions with peers. More importantly, it trains them to listen to their audience, manage nervousness, and deliver messages in a structured way. Benefits of Developing Skill Public Speaking Early Boosting Confidence Children who regularly practice speaking in front of others gain more confidence in expressing their opinions. This confidence benefits them not only in school but also in everyday life. Encouraging Structured Thinking When preparing a presentation, children learn to organize their ideas systematically. This process sharpens their critical and analytical thinking skills. Improving Social Abilities Skill Public Speaking teaches children to maintain eye contact, observe audience reactions, and engage effectively with others. These habits strengthen their empathy and social connections. Preparing for the Future Strong communication skills are highly valued in higher education and the professional world. By learning public speaking in elementary school, children gain a long-lasting competitive advantage. The Role of Parents in Supporting Their Children Parents play a significant role in encouraging children to practice speaking confidently. Supportive gestures such as giving praise, providing opportunities to perform, and creating a safe environment free from harsh criticism help children feel more comfortable. Simple activities, like letting a child tell stories to the family, read aloud, or present a project, are excellent starting points. Parents can also guide their children toward structured learning programs. These programs not only teach techniques for effective Skill Public Speaking, but also help children manage nervousness, choose their words carefully, and engage with different audiences. Gen Alpha Slangs: A Guide to Understand How Kids Talk Today in 2025
Gen Alpha Slangs: A Guide to Understand How Kids Talk Today in 2025
“Gyatt!”, “So rizz!”, “I’m going skibidi first.” If you’ve ever overheard kids saying things like this and felt totally lost, you’re definitely not alone. These are examples of gen alpha slangs — the unique language used by children born after 2010 who are growing up fully immersed in the digital world. Gen Alpha kids do not just grow up with technology, they live inside it. They pick up most of what they know from TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and social media rather than from textbooks or TV like older generations did. Because of that, their vocabulary is shaped by online trends, memes, and global internet slang, which can be tricky for adults to catch on to. To help parents connect better with their kids, here is a quick dictionary of popular gen alpha slangs complete with meanings and examples.   Gen Alpha Slangs: Popular Terms and What They Mean Rizz Meaning: Charm or the ability to attract others, usually in friendship or dating. Example: “That guy has so much rizz, he talks calmly but everyone just likes him.” Note: This comes from “charisma” and is used to describe someone with a strong personal appeal.   Skibidi Meaning: A term from the viral “Skibidi Toilet” meme used to describe something weird, creepy, or just “no way.” Example: “Don’t go in that room, the vibe is super skibidi.” Note: It does not have a literal meaning but is part of gen alpha slangs’ quirky humor.   Gyatt Meaning: A spontaneous shout when surprised or impressed, a playful twist on “goddamn.” Example: “Gyatt! Your room looks so neat today.” Note: Used when something really catches your attention in a good way.   Slay Meaning: To do something confidently and impressively. Example: “Her performance today totally slayed!” Note: A compliment for someone who nails it.   NPC Meaning: Short for Non-Playable Character from video games meaning someone passive or unengaged. Example: “He just stays quiet in the group chat, like an NPC.” Note: Used sarcastically for someone who seems to have no initiative.   Sigma Meaning: A calm, independent person who does not show off but still has influence. Example: “He does not talk much but everyone listens, total sigma.” Note: Describes someone strong without needing to be loud or dominant.   No cap Meaning: Honestly, no lie, seriously telling the truth. Example: “That movie was amazing, no cap.” Note: Used to stress that what is said is completely true.   Why Should Parents Understand Gen Alpha Slangs? Language is how we connect and if parents want to stay close with their kids, understanding gen alpha slangs is a helpful step. You do not have to use every trendy word yourself but knowing what they mean and how kids use them can help you: Avoid misunderstandings Create a safe space for honest conversations Build trust by showing you get where they are coming from Spot trends or content that might be risky or inappropriate Gen alpha slangs also give a window into how today’s kids think, fast, visual, and quick to adapt to global digital culture.   Turning Their Digital Language Into Something Useful Since kids are already used to quick, creative online communication, why not guide that energy into learning skills like coding? Coding is basically a language for talking to computers. It teaches structure, logic, and step-by-step problem solving, skills that will matter more and more in the future. For Gen Alpha kids who are naturally visual and adaptable, coding can be a perfect bridge between their creative side and the tech-driven world ahead.   See Gen Alpha Slangs as a Chance to Connect, Not a Barrier Instead of worrying about unfamiliar words, try to see gen alpha slangs as an opportunity to get closer to your kids. It is not just a passing fad but a reflection of their ever-changing world. When we understand how they speak, we can better understand how they think. That is where real connection starts. If you want to help your child build skills that match their world, Timedoor Academy offers coding classes designed to be fun and visual, just the way Gen Alpha learns best. Feel free to check out the free trial classes and see if coding could be a new way for your child to shine.
